Kinda shocked this was even playing at my local AMC. It feels like a cross between THE MAN FROM NOWHERE and TAKEN but lacks the emotional punch or melodrama of the former and the tension and pacing of the later. Despite that, it was still good enough and fun to see a serviceable Korean thriller in a theater for once!
I wouldn’t mind revisiting this at home in the Secret Cinema where the sound would be better than the dead-ass sounding screening we saw. Always hit or miss at Westminster with these smaller releases. There were four other people there besides us, so very quiet and no one close to us, which was nice.
The other film I’ve seen by the same director, THE SWORDSMAN, is better than this one, but almost certainly had a higher budget as well.

Yes I would like to revisit this in the Secret Cinema! Also surprised that Westminster got this one.
