Viewing Notes
Hou Hsiao’s character is such an arrogant prick in this film and everyone else always has to intercede to keep him from getting himself, and everyone else, in trouble with the never up to any good Manchus; and then he gets them all in trouble anyway.
There are some entertaining martial arts and training sequences in this that make it fun, even if the abrupt ending is a let down.
