Viewing Notes
Final Shaw Production viewed via Netflix now that they e all expired. ::sadface:: tbh I’m surprised they stuck around as long as they did (I had many of them in my watchlist for a couple of years). Was great to see this one properly as my previous viewing was on my laptop thru IMDb.
The “print” looked excellent. This is a super fun film where Hsiao Ho is basically the Gordon Liu character from the first 36th Chamber movie. Now Liu is the wise older monk teaching the younger Ho a lessen. The setpiece in the finale is bonkers! So much action happening in that set. Love the freeze frame at the end. Definitely one of the better ones.
