Viewing Notes

Shot and edited more like a horror film, with sometimes jarring cuts that seem to be more about keeping a measure than the actual visuals; paired with an increasingly hysterical group of characters that seem to be going collectively mad. They often react in jarring, over-the-top ways. Couple the hysteria with Mimsy Farmer’s character’s revulsion to sex and you’ve got an amazingly off-putting cast of characters. I was really hoping everyone involved would die by the end because there wasn’t anyone you really felt sympathy for.
