Viewing Notes

RIP Ennio Morricone
10 November 1928 – 6 July 2020

After learning of Il Maestro’s passing early this morning I wanted to watch some films to celebrate his incredible career. The first was a rewatch of MY NAME IS NOBODY and the next film was a new to me giallo.

This movie starts in such a way that it could be total sci-fi horror but it eventually unwinds into a giallo flick. Tbh I didn’t know it was one until halfway thru the movie. It could also be called “Women Repeatedly Getting Sexually Assaulted” for a more precise title.

It’s a testament to the talent of Morricone that he could so easily and deftly bounce around different genres. This is a creepy score that provides the right mood.
