Viewing Notes

The fourth film of the marathon and the only one I knew for sure Jay was intending to screen. This one has been a long time coming as I’ve managed to avoid watching all the SCREAM movies until now. I think this was so hyped back when it came out that I had a massive negative reaction and vowed not to watch it. Since I never watched the original, there wasn’t any imperative to watch any of the sequels either.

Despite being so meta, sometimes to the point of just being annoying, it’s actually a really good slasher. I will never be in love with this film the way younger generations are but I’m glad I finally got to watch it.
