Viewing Notes

It’s been a while since I’ve watched this. The transfer on the disc from Kino Lorber looks great, easily the best I’ve seen of this film. This movie has so much style with great lighting and set design. I did notice in the opening scene the floor of the control room was still the bare wooden planked floor of the studio where they shot it. In subsequent scenes the floor is covered and it looks better for it. Pretty funny that I’d never noticed it before.

I assume the actors hated those high collars on their costumes. Sometimes it’s painful to watch them try to make head gestures to the side and fighting with those ridiculous collars!
