As weird as I was hoping for even if not in all the ways I was hoping for. I saw Singer’s first film LUZ back in 2018 or 2019 at Fantastic Fest. I should revisit it but it had a pretty bizarre premise as well. Between this and LONGLEGS it’s been a good year for some more out-there, original horror. I think I need to track down the soundtrack for this as well; loved the songs!
Dan Stevens is having himself a year: ABIGAIL, GODZILLA X KONG and CUCKOO. It’s great to see him in such varied roles too. He looks like he’s always having fun.
My 4:45 PM screening of this was about half full; probably a good 30ish people there, which is a good sign.
