Viewing Notes

The version on Youtube I found is an excellent HD print from BFI, beautifully tinted, with no score, so truly silent. The cinematography is excellent, which is what makes this a compelling watch. One of a handful of Hitchcock’s early films I don’t own.

The story itself is fairly mundane (though backed by good acting) and way too drawn out, but I can’t ignore just how great it looks.
