Holy. Hell.
Though I actually expected this to be a more wrenching experience than it was, there were definitely some cringe-worthy moments. I can only imagine what it would have been like to see this in a movie theater with other people, especially if they were unprepared for the experience!
I wasn’t aware that this was a sequel to McKee’s Offspring; nor that Pollyanna McIntosh reprises her role as The Woman from that earlier film. Pollyanna, a beautiful actress in real life, does an incredibly convincing job as the feral woman. She’s a raw and dirty and violent force of nature.
I’ll definitely be tracking down Offspring, as well as other movies she’s been in, soon.
