Overview

Wounded to the brink of death and suffering from amnesia, Jason Bourne is rescued at sea by a fisherman. With nothing to go on but a Swiss bank account number, he starts to reconstruct his life, but finds that many people he encounters want him dead. However, Bourne realizes that he has the combat and mental skills of a world-class spy—but who does he work for?

Viewing Notes

A funny thing happened when I rewatched the trilogy on Bluray. I noticed that Identity has the most coherent and believable plot; it doesn’t leave to many holes laying about. It does sacrifice some of the frantic pacing that makes the two sequels such great fun to watch, but in all honesty, from a plot perspective, it’s easily the best of the three.

And the action scenes are still pretty fucking intense! The Paris car chase scene is one of the best car chases put to film and set the bar pretty damn high.
