Overview
For Lieutenant Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell and his friend and co-pilot Nick ‘Goose’ Bradshaw, being accepted into an elite training school for fighter pilots is a dream come true. But a tragedy, as well as personal demons, will threaten Pete’s dreams of becoming an ace pilot.

Viewing Notes
A big movie from my teenage years, released while I was a senior in high school. I’m not a huge fan of it, but it’s still a fun watch and it was fun introducing my kids to the movie.
Anthony Edwards’ performance as Goose, especially when paired with Meg Ryan as his wife, is great. He makes the movie a lot of fun and you’re genuinely sad when Goose dies.
It was also great to see Michael Ironside, as I’d just rewatched Total Recall recently, in which he also stars.
