Viewing Notes

Second feature in the CSS Kung Fu Action Triple Feature… quite a treat to see this 35mm print, which is supposedly the only known print in North American. Definitely faded and washed out w/lots of scars but so damn good to see instead of a dvd or blu-ray.

Having seen this not that long on Blu that I own I didn’t think I’d enjoy this film as much but actually I had forgotten the setup story and seeing this in a theater w/a crowd allowed me to appreciate it more. Young Gordon Liu is awesome but I really dig evil Lo Lieh, if only he were in the movie more.

Overall a great film to see on the big screen. That SB / Shawscope intro gave me chills.
