Viewing Notes

Memorable for many reasons and the sole reason I traveled to Austin for SXSW, the world premiere of this film at The Paramount Theatre.

Memorable because I contributed to the film to help it get made (or completed). And I’m so glad I did because it’s a beautiful tribute to home video and VHS, its rise and fall and legacy. So proud of what my friends created. It’s warm yet informative. And it’s funny. Great interviews throughout and some swell soundbites.

Memorable because I experienced this viewing to a nearly sold-out screening in a theater full of more friends and acquaintances. Such an incredible feeling to finally see this film that my friends have spent the last three years creating. And view it sitting next to them and others who had a hand in helping w/the process.

It was a beautiful experience and I was teary eyed as it started (my glasses were actually fogging up). It was an indescribable feeling really to be there and share this viewing in which so many of us were part of the journey as well as relating to the topic.

Truly love this film and what they accomplished. I look forward to more viewings and hopefully a screening in Chicago in the near future. Easily my favorite film of SXSW of the seven movies I viewed. Just can’t say enough about what that team was able to do and have such a wonderful final result.

This is movie for all cinefiles and film lovers.
