Viewing Notes

Inspired by Ron’s recent viewing w/his kids I picked this up when I saw it on the “recently returned” rack at the library. Didn’t realize it’s been at least over 4 years since I’ve seen this but I recall not being as fond of it upon that revisit. At least not as much as I was after my first viewing way back in the day.

On this viewing I found more to enjoy and appreciate. Viewing it in HD via Blu-ray probably helped in addition to the improved sound. The SFX really pop. I still think this is more a collection of great one-liners and individual scenes than a good story. But overall it’s a fun watch and The Chin is great as he usually is.

Also having just re-seen Bubba Ho-Tep recently I got a kick out of all the Elvis nods.
