Another rec (this time from the great guys on Gentlemen’s Guide To Midnight Cinema & their podcast discussion) was John Boorman’s excellent Hell in the Pacific (1968) ONLY featuring two cinema heavyweights: Toshiro Mifune & Lee Marvin. That is enough for anyone. This was Enemy Mine before Enemy Mine. And really all that needs to be said. See this film. Period.
(Already I want to see it again and would love to have this on Blu-ray)
