Viewing Notes
This is a tough one. Really, really hard to divorce my opinion from the initial reactions out of the original Fantastic Fest screening. This in addition to the subsequent opinions of the film. Also toss in that most of these actors are the primary leads in The Green Inferno, which I just saw in the past week. I was expecting the worse.
But the movie unfolded so differently than I expected but then just gets so mean and ugly that I couldn’t help but have a similar reaction. It’s like the entire premise is to kill off everyone in gruesome fashion. Unfortunate because this has great production value but not something I’d ever bother watching again.
