Overview

Couldn’t miss another Detective Dee at the cinema and this one is screening at only one theater in all of Chicago. Much like Young Sherlock Tsui Hark’s Young Detective gets involved in a not-so-subtle mystery that involves an enormous sea monster. Super ridiculous but such a beautiful looking movie with excellent action sequences. Sure much of this is CG + wires but damn if it isn’t staged well. I also like the double buddy cop team-up. Definitely worth checking out if you dig Hark and his wuxia fantasy features.
