Sam Witwicky takes his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Autobot-leader Optimus Prime. The film centers around the space race between the USSR and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet’s most dangerous secrets.

And what could be more forgettable than Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)? Not much. Save for a few beautiful shots of Chicago getting blown to all hell this film is terrible and possibly the worst movie I’ll see this year. What’s truly unfortunate is that there could have been a decent movie in this had a couple of the characters and subplots been excised. As I tweeted, “the upside is that I will never have to watch that again.”
