Viewing Notes

15th and last movie of B-Fest 2014! Was glad to have a kung fu flick on the schedule even though I knew it’d be dubbed. No one wants to read subtitles after sitting in a theater for nearly 24 hours. Donnie Yen is great (also his first feature film?). The movie is so-so but the action is aces and Yen’s dance scene is worth it. He nails Michael Jackson’s signature moves (moonwalk!) and this was 1984. Really entertaining flick and shows the potential Yen possessed early in his career.

Nice ending to the Festival and solid line-up overall. Oddly the most lacking in audience participation and humor of the four B-Fest events I’ve attended which was odd. Glad it’s over and I survived.
