Viewing Notes

Probably the first time I’ve viewed the original Japanese version (despite owning it for years). As with most folks not a big fan of this movie for all the obvious reasons. BUT this was a HUGE movie for me when I was a kid. It didn’t matter that most of the kaiju stuff was all clips from the other films cuz I didn’t know. I just loved the kid and his fantasy of hanging around with Minilla. I wanted to be that kid.

Watching it again I understand why it’s so hated. I don’t hate it. And I do like the departure with the crooks. But 70 minutes and mostly clips does not make for a good Godzilla movie.
