Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth! Another sad release from Tristar. I hope we get this in widescreen someday (maybe with the new Blu releases?). And in its original JP language. I really dig this movie and how it borrows from other films like Raiders of the Lost Ark and the original Mothra but changes them up slightly.
Of course I love Mothra. The Battra larva is badass. Not crazy about these fairy twins “Cosmos” but I really like their songs in this one. Ifukube’s score is terrific. I should buy the soundtrack to this. Also cool to see Takarada back in a Godzilla movie.
This movie definitely deserves a better release.
