Excellent. It’s a great thing not knowing anything about a film going in and having the story unfold into unexpected areas. I’d seen the trailer it bits but never paid attention. Other than the praise out of the festivals I really didn’t know anything about this film. This made the experience quite enjoyable esp. in a pack theater.
The Q&A was also one of the better ones I’ve attended with thoughtful questions - actual questions - about the process and the film (only one “what camera did you use” query but Jeremy’s response was incredibly insightful even on that point).
For a movie shot on a shoestring budget with a skeleton crew it looks fabulous. Color palettes and atmosphere are such a big part of its look and feel. Although it looks nothing like a 70s a film, it has that vibe.
