Viewing Notes

I would love to see a triple feature of all the Tetsuo films in a theater. Pretty sure this film was the primary influence on the next generation of body horror films out of Japan. It’s very much a live action manga / anime and reminds me a lot of AKIRA. Speaking of, I’m a little surprised this film is included in Kinema Junpo’s top Japanese films yet AKIRA is not considering how much of an influence AKIRA has been. But I am glad a experimental horror film like this is on the list.
