Better than I expected.
Interesting that this one is included in my Angela Mao set yet she has a miner role here. In fact, she’s featured so little throughout most of the movie I wondered if this was the correct movie. She does make a bigger appearance towards the end for some gun fighting and brawling.
Most of the movie is really about Jimmy Wang Yu (One-Armed Swordsman, Master of the Flying Guillotine) and his sister Tanny Tien Ni. He’s a bad guy in a scheme with George Lazenby and Bolo Yeung to steal a load of gold during the Queen of England’s visit to HK.
It’s a fun movie despite plenty of head-scratching moments. Like the assault on gold near the end. Would seem that the crooks would be at a disadvantage trying to roll into a heavily guarded fort with a couple of trucks. Not the case!
Anyway, great to see Bolo Yeung and Jimmy Wang Yu fighting each other.

my LB review: Disguised as an Angela Mao vehicle but really it’s all Jimmy Wang Yu (One-Armed Swordsman, Master of the Flying Guillotine). And to a lesser extent, Tanny Tien Ni, who portrays his younger sister. Jimmy’s in deep with some gangsters to assassinate the Queen of England while his sister threatens to expose their entire plan. Mao sits on the sidelines for most of the movie; George Lazenby gets more screen time than her. Main reason to watch: Bolo Yeung and Jimmy have a kung fu throwdown at a pool party! Bolo throws weights around like they’re ashtrays.
