Overview
2 million taels in gold has been stolen from a vault within the Forbidden City. The Empress wants the money returned within 10 days. Chief Constable Leng Tian-Ying is hired to bring back the gold robbers, dead or alive- and Leng’s earned a reputation of never bringing anyone back alive.

Viewing Notes
Basically a vehicle for Chen Kuan-Tai to be a hardcore constable on a manhunt for the stolen gold. He mostly relies on his sword prowess as he chops up everyone in his path as he unravels the mystery.
Features a really excellent setpiece in the middle featuring a giant sun dial and poison darts that I wish was utilized more. Definitely more sword play than kung fu but still a good watch and a good one for Chen Kuan-Tai and his posse. Crazy and tragic ending.
