Overview

Mike is an unmotivated stoner whose small-town life with his live-in girlfriend, Phoebe, is suddenly turned upside down.  Unbeknownst to him, Mike is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent. In the blink of an eye, as his secret past comes back to haunt him, Mike is thrust into the middle of a deadly government operation and is forced to summon his inner action-hero in order to survive.

Viewing Notes

I like the days when I get Moviepass twice a day (nice little loophole in the app).

Well I can’t say that I’m as blown away as others but I do think this is an enjoyable ride. Maybe because it goes full-on violence in a preposterous story. I have a few nitpicks but won’t disclose here to avoid spoilers. After seeing this I don’t buy that this will be a “cult” hit when more people discover it.

And if I’m being real honest, the end credits animation is my favorite thing in the movie. I’d like to see more that Apollo Ape stuff.
