Overview

Inspired by the incredible events surrounding a treacherous attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, “Everest” documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind. Their mettle tested by the harshest of elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival.

Viewing Notes

Somewhat difficult watch knowing the outcome. Was interested to see the film having not watched any of the Everest films based on this story. Thought it would be a good one to see on the big screen. It is with some incredible cinematography.

Also gives a great sense of foreboding seeing those mountains and the storms around them. Still cannot completely understand why people do these things but truly a great lesson in nature being something often insurmountable.

Good ensemble cast but deeply tragic.
