A faithful adaptation of the classic tale portrays Dracula as an old man who grows younger whenever he dines on the blood of young maidens.

Interesting to see Christopher Lee portray Dracula in a non-Hammer production. Feels a been restrained esp. given Franco’s tendencies. I know there’s a story here on why Lee did this film outside of Hammer but I’ve forgotten it. Despite not being a Hammer release much of it feels like one. The one difference is the camera movement; there’s a lot more movement here than you’d see in Hammer’s works around that time. Kinski isn’t really used enough however.
