Overview
Researchers on the undersea lab Aquatica have genetically altered the brains of captive sharks to develop a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. But there’s an unexpected side effect: the sharks got smarter, faster, and more dangerous. After a big storm damages their remote research facility, they must fight for their lives.

I’ve never seen this… but figured w/the sequel being released today I’d finally watch this. This is a fun b-movie! And a movie that gives no fucks. I really wasn’t expecting everyone to get eaten by the sharks. Solid action and thrills and FX esp. given this is now 19 years old. At least now I understand most of the references to this movie.
