Overview

Tang Lung arrives in Rome to help his cousins in the restaurant business. They are being pressured to sell their property to the syndicate, who will stop at nothing to get what they want. When Tang arrives he poses a new threat to the syndicate, and they are unable to defeat him. The syndicate boss hires the best Japanese and European martial artists to fight Tang, but he easily finishes them off.

Viewing Notes

Haven’t seen this since I was a teen when all we watched were kung fu movies. So almost like a new viewing but I’ve seen plenty of clips from this movie over the years, esp. the Chuck Norris fight. Probably this movie more than any other is the one that my BFF in high school mimicked the most (Bruce Lee’s moves and style).

Having seen a few Shaw films featuring Lau Wing in recent days I totally recognized him right away. So cool that he worked with Lee early in his career.

Besides the fight sequences it was interesting to see how they stitched the shot on location scenes in Rome with the stuff shot on set in Hong Kong at Golden Harvest. I also like how Lee filmed/directed himself in this to accent his physique. I’m guessing his body fat had to be
