Viewing Notes

IMAX is the way to see this… even when I knew what was coming it was still quite breathtaking when the scope opens up during a thrilling moment. Honestly didn’t expect to get so emotional during the finale but I did choke back some tears esp. when they were using actual recordings from the moon landing. And maybe because I was unaffected throughout most of the dramatic buildup it all came out when Armstrong finally has resolution on his personal tragedy. Being vague here but you know if you saw the movie.

Gosling is very good as expected but I really love Claire Foy. She really nails being that supportive wife and mother and has the best line of the movie. Also love seeing Ethan Embry and Shea Wingham.

Sadly that many folks won’t bother seeing this in theater and will likely watch this on the back of a seat on an airplane. They’ll miss so much of what makes this movie work… the big visuals and big sound or lack thereof.

Almost want to see this again in real IMAX… hmmm.
