Charlie Chan takes his family of 14 to the circus… most of the younger kids look the same age or close. Every time his family is brought up I wonder why it was necessary to write him with such a large family. He has adult sons and toddler aged children? Weird decision that feels more tacky orientalism than amusing.

Also did he ship his whole family to the mainland for this vacation? Clearly they are not in Hawaii.
