Music by Graeme Revell. Enjoyed this mostly for the time period and events captured (British exiting HK and handing over to China). Also just enjoy all the photography shot on location in HK. Of course both Jeremy Irons and Gong Li are terrific but it is Maggie Cheung that stands out as the weird unreliable interview subject. Not sure why this film has a low rating on IMDb but I’m guessing it may be bc it’s another white savior flick. Just a guess. I’d consider that too if the main protag wasn’t dying from leukemia. I could be wrong but I’d like to know why this film is panned.
