A rash of bizarre murders in New York City seems to point to a group of grotesquely deformed vagrants living in the sewers. A courageous policeman, a photojournalist and his girlfriend, and a nutty bum, who seems to know a lot about the creatures, band together to try and determine what the creatures are and how to stop them.

I think the last time I saw this was for a movie night at Ron’s. Maybe? I do know it was one of the first movies I got on DVD and was disappointed when I watched it. Guess all the years of anticipation led to that disappointment. But it really isn’t a very good movie.
Well I was wrong again. Old man Jay is back. The last time I saw this was a 24hr horror movie marathon, Box of Horrors. But I still think we watched this at a movie night. Also funny that I rated this much higher back in the day than now.
