Viewing Notes

final film in the Nancy Drew set. Saw it was on Prime but watched a few minutes and the transfer is terrible. This is one of those cases where as soon as you see the guy least likely to be the criminal - and he’s handsome - you know that’s the guy. This is a decent caper buoyed by a good Bonita Granville performance and some rascal kids.

Besides Saoirse Ronan, Bonita reminds me of another actress. I like her and surprised that I’ve soon her in other films but I guess she was the primary actor as I haven’t noticed her. She’s a sparkplug and has great screen presence. I don’t think there’s any more Nancy Drew films with her but I’ll definitely seek out other films of hers.
