Viewing Notes

Warming up to this movie. Super cool to see on the mega-screen and even cooler that they got director Shusuke Kaneko over to the theater to introduce (in fact they started the movie then after 5 or so minutes they turned it off b/c he + JD + Stan Hyde) had just arrived to do the intro. Kaneko was sweet and thrilled to be there to view the film with us. They *never* have a guest for the Thursday doubles so it was quite the honor. Also great that many attendees came for the screening for a really big crowd.

This is a very well-crafted movie. Mothra is fucking amazing. Baragon is so wonderful but gets a dirty treatment. Weird that Ghidorah is a hero. Still do not like possessed evil Gojira with the cloudy gray eyes.

Truly an amazing experience to see this big despite a stomach bug killing me. Ugh the worst experience but glad to see the movie and Kaneko.
