Viewing Notes

After viewing that modern Russian horror movie QUEEN OF SPADES: THE DARK RITE on Shudder last month, I wanted to see a more traditional adaptation of Pushkin’s novella. So I requested this from the library. UK production of a Russian story.

So really wasn’t into this. Great production and actors but hard to stay interested. Maybe the story or me or watching it at 3am? This would be a cool film to watch at MBT ... perfect for that. The sound mix was annoying on this dvd with really loud music cues but low volume dialogue. Wish it had subtitles.
