Viewing Notes

The more I watch this westernized version of Godzilla the more I appreciate it. Sure, some of the dubbing is awful and nonsensical (why are some of dialogue exchanges in Japanese yet others are completed dubbed in English?) yet the story remains intact. The extreme nature of the terror is still present despite the noodling by Terry Morse and the Hollywood inserts. The bittersweet tone is retained and Godzilla is still a menace.
