In comic Woody Allen’s film debut, he took the Japanese action film “International Secret Police: Key of Keys” and re-dubbed it, changing the plot to make it revolve around a secret egg salad recipe.

DKUTV is running a 17 hour marathon for Mie Hama’s 76th Birthday today. This is the second film on the schedule and one I didn’t really want to watch again bc it’s not good and just makes me dislike Woody Allen more than I already do.
I really need to track down Key of Keys so I can see the original film he used for this spoof. It has the trinity of Toho goddesses: Akiko Wakabayashi, Kumi Mizuno and Mie Hama! Altho it’s mostly Akiko and Mie (I think Kumi only appears briefly at the beginning). The only reason I can give this a positive score is bc of those 3. Oh plus Hideyo Amamoto!
