Viewing Notes

Glad to get Dolby for this. Cannot believe the trailer package runs 28 minutes now!

My initial reaction/thoughts:
Soft 7/10 for picking it up in the third act. Surprisingly static thru the first two acts given everything I’ve heard about how kinetic it’s supposed to be. And I don’t count the bouncing back and forth in the timeline via flashbacks to be energetic especially if they’re flat segments. Also kinda suffers from the Captain Jack syndrome; Harley Quinn is better as a sidekick or part of an ensemble.

This feels odd to say but I think I’d rather watch Suicide Squad again over this movie even tho this has a better story and mostly better characters. I did miss the Joker.

Weird to see Bojana Novakovic in a very small cameo. She should’ve been another woman on the team instead of that character.

I’ll let this one roll around in my head for a while before I decide if I want to see it again.

Oh I figured out why the trailer package is so long (at Muvico anyways)... they start with 5 minutes of regular commercials (network service, auto & truck ads, etc) before the trailers start. In the Dolby theater with the obligatory Dolby bumper it’s 30+ minutes until the actual movie begins!
