Viewing Notes

This is how my mind works: recently re-watched YOUR VICE IS A LOCKED ROOM and saw that Luigi Pistilli is one of the primary leads. Noticed he was also in A BAY OF BLOOD aka TWITCH OF THE DEATH NERVE, which I hadn’t seen since the 35mm screening at Box of Horrors. Thought maybe I ought revisit it. Then promptly forgot by the next day. Then my buddy Mike Bracken releases his latest Sick Flicks video covering A BAY OF BLOOD which I started watching then realized I wanted to see this again. Discovered it’s on Kanopy (since I don’t own tho I should) and fired it up today!

I really like this movie b/c it’s a giallo / slasher where nearly everyone could be the killer. Also features Claudine Auger who later went on to star opposite Sean Connery in THUNDERBALL a few years later.

It’s unfortunate that Kanopy has not ported the HD transfers of Kino’s release instead presenting the standard definition which is really marred by the poor streaming of their platform (stuttered a lot during this viewing). Really had me regretting not picking the Blu back when it was released. Someday I’ll have to get it b/c I do really like the absurdity of this story.
