Viewing Notes

Amando de Ossorio is another director I’m spending time viewing this year. Haven’t seen this sequel to the original Blind Dead film in a very long time (since around the time I bought this DVD which was in the early ‘00s). This movie was on Prime w/the other sequels but recently yanked so I had to bust out the DVD, which isn’t so bad. However, I’d love to have the whole set on a restored / remaster blu collection. Severin could do a nice release, I imagine.

So much about this installment I like, the biggest being that it’s a siege flick. I love the undead Templar knights esp. when they ride their horses in slow motion. Altho I do find it amusing that the horses just appear once the knights rise from their tomb. Where were the horses all these time? One thing that cracked me up is when they first arrive in the village and start knocked on doors. They’re just hanging out waiting for folks to answer the door!

If I recall correctly this one is my favorite of the three. I’ve been thinking of revisiting them as well but don’t own any of them. A nice Blu-ray set would be great!
