Overview
After the previous Godzilla attack, a miniature arms race ensues to collect his cells. Concerned over Godzilla’s possible return, the Japanese government uses the cells to create a new bio-weapon, ANEB (Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria). They seeks the aid of geneticist Genshiro Shiragami, who’s experiments result in a new mutation.

Viewing Notes
Wanted some comfort food to finish off my birthday and decided to give this one another spin. It’s grown on me with each viewing. I really like Biollante in both its forms but that final form is wicked. The story around it is just so weird but kind of a cold war remnant. I do love that this movie introduced the first official reoccurring character in Miki (Megumi Odaka).
