Viewing Notes

The DKUTV Space Station Europa feature for the evening and yet another one I hadn’t seen. This is a pretty cool flick that does an in medias res before going back to when this catastrophe began. That’s the majority of the movie, what led to the end of the world or at least this post-apocalyptic scenario. It’s a wild disaster flick to view now in the midst of the pandemic we’re currently facing. You see the same types of attitudes in this movie in how ppl will deal with a global disaster.

This was the BFI release and it looked very nice. Some good FX used plus miniatures. There’s a great shot of the newspaper press where they have two versions of the front page ready to go depending on the outcome of the solution they propose to stop the destruction.
