Overview
Black police officer Russell Stevens applies for a special anti-drug squad which targets the highest boss of cocaine delivery to LA—the Colombian foreign minister’s nephew. Russell works his way up from the bottom undercover, until he reaches the boss.

Viewing Notes
Another impromptu movie night in the Secret Cinema! Ron had just rec’d the new Criterion release for this film and I hadn’t seen it so it was a perfect pick. I’m impressed that Criterion put this in their collection. It’s such a sweaty, grimy early nineties crime thriller with a stellar performance from Laurence Fishburne and Jeff Goldblum doing his best Goldblum. Very entertaining movie!
