Overview

Ash Williams and his girlfriend Linda find a log cabin in the woods with a voice recording from an archeologist who had recorded himself reciting ancient chants from “The Book of the Dead.” As they play the recording an evil power is unleashed taking over Linda’s body.

Figured this one would pair well with Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell and I was correct (altho it was an easy choice given that movie’s subtitle of “Japanese Evil Dead”). Forgot how batshit crazy OTT this movie is compared to the first film. Yes I’ve seen this before but it’s been a while and wow this movie is bonkers in all the best ways. Such a blast to watch esp. in the Secret Cinema. Surprised this one didn’t get programmed more often in Chicago at the marathons and events.
