Viewing Notes

Watched this again via YT this time primarily to see the fights and Yukari Oshima. As noted in my previous comments the martial arts is great but wish there was more of it. Three very good fighting sequences in the first 40 minutes or so then nothing until the end (there’s a couple of car chase sequences). However, the finale is pretty goddamn great. I had forgotten the DriveInMob broadcast was missing the ending ending so I’m glad I viewed this again so I could see how it plays out with Michiko Nishiwaki’s character.

No English subtitles but non needed for the great fighting. The comedy / drama is really about how Tequila (Oshima) and James (Frankie Chan) get together before it’s revealed she’s a cop. Then the brothers learn that drugs are involved in the car theft / chop shop scheme.

Definitely would get this one if 88 Films released it. Also forgot about the strange decision to use all the chickens and how it’s rather apparently obvious that several of them died during this production. Probably some snakes too. Not sure why they had to use chickens and snakes as it really doesn’t add anything.
