Overview
Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards and witches. They soon encounter an array of old and new beasts as they clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers.

Viewing Notes
The movie I needed after a day of meetings to end the work week. A big fantasy flick to sit back and vege out. Things happen and it’s nicely made but I don’t really care about any of it. Just there for the spectacle and actors (I still adore the original core cast that kicked off the first move: Newt, Jacob and Queenie). Mads stepping in to be the big bad is fine yet subdued. He’s just kinda there as is Jude Law as Dumbledore. Couple of emotional beats got me teared up but I already know I will forgot the lot of this within a year.
I do love Jessica Williams in this. Great presence and fun to watch.
