Wow this is better than most Santo flicks I’ve seen. Maybe better than all of them! Mashes up the same genres but with a tighter and more exciting result. Infatuated with the towering Elizabeth Campbell as Golden Rubi. She makes for a great wrestling presence (even tho they drop in actual female wrestlers for most the climatic match with The Shadows aka Panther Women).
Also love having Angel subbed for the traditional Santo role as the superhero masked wrestler who shows up at the right times but also helps with the mystery. He’s great and I wish we got more films with him.
I dunno if this one is available on Blu but I’d love to own it especially in Spanish. Would totally show this at a movie night.
